In 2019, architects Fabrizio Pellegrino and Lodovico Gabetti, together with Axolight, launched a maieutic workshop (realistically based on the Socratic method of authentically arriving at truth) to reconstruct the thinking of Studio Gabetti e Isola, linked to the design concept of the Bul-Bo lamp. This journey was based on firsthand accounts from architects Aimaro Isola and Guido Drocco (co-authors of Bul-Bo in 1971), the studio's original notes and drawings, and the memories of Lodovico Gabetti (son and student of Roberto Gabetti) and Fabrizio Pellegrino (a student of Studio Gabetti e Isola).
This journey, which led Axolight to the re-edition of the first Bul-Bo in 2021, today brings with it a second generation of ideas, profoundly linked, in every way, to the original idea of Bul-Bo.
