Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba was born in 1976 in Massalombarda, Italy.
He attended the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts.
Immediately after graduation, he began working in the theatre scene and collaborating with architects on various projects. Soon he started creating unique pieces alongside his art production, and step by step the two paths began to merge.
For over 10 years he worked for local private or public commissions. Connections between Man and Nature are his favourite theme, interpreting both the dynamics and the beauty of nature, and showing how human attitudes alter the original.
He loves thinking about his work as a direct continuation of what he used to do when he was a child, playing with everything he found, and creating what his mind imagined. Today, when looking for the aesthetic component and concept, he takes ideas from the same sources he drew on while playing, daydreaming with everything that normally surrounds him. He learned from art how an idea can be elegant, which is why he's always looking for pure, essential concepts.
"I never give up irony; irony is a serious matter. If a good idea is even fun, I cannot resist realising it" Marcantonio.
