Trays Le Senge et le Chat Duo by Ibride

Inspired by the famous fable by La Fontaine, this piece highlights two strong-willed characters: the monkey and the cat. Presented on two rectangular trays, they turn their backs to each other, frozen in a silent disagreement that intrigues the viewer.

Separated, they spark curiosity and ignite the imagination; brought together, they reveal a scene full of irony, where cunning and pride respond to each other from afar. This subtle contrast between autonomy and interaction captures the essence of classic fables and offers a modern, artistic interpretation of La Fontaine.

Le Senge & Le Chat serving trays are made from compact birch laminate, a material that is both lightweight and durable. The birch is expertly molded in Sweden before being cut and assembled in France, ensuring resistance to water and heat. This material choice guarantees long-lasting durability while being environmentally conscious. The illustrations are protected by a satin finish that preserves their vibrancy over time, even with daily use.
